Genny “Cougar” Edge hands Mr. King her gi top to be reverently placed on The Wall of the Karate Institute of America, commemorating her induction into the ranks of Kiado-Ryu Black Belts. Coronated in 1990, Cougar is the 13th Black Belt of the Kiado-Ryu, of which there are sixty-three as of June, 2010. To think this ceremony took place twenty years ago is humbling. How time flies! Ms. Edge is living a good life now, alternating between homes in Southern California and Nevada. She remains to this day a stalwart supporter of the Karate Institute of America and we remain one of her greatest fans.
