Triangle of Life . . .
we were beautiful - weren't we . . .
I didn't see that at the time . . .
I only saw how we behaved
how we practiced our art
graced each other's lives
how we performed
how we endured
persevered
now - studying fading photos
two and a half decades since -
I see -
how beautiful we all were
amidst the sweaty messiness
through stink - clunky gear - ugly weapons
emerged courage - determination
the furious energy of it all
its own reward of
glowing
life
practicing an ancient art
completing ourselves in
the triangle of life -
body mind
& spirit
