Black Belt #2: Jerry "Bones" Gentry

Jerry “Bones” Gentry began his martial art studies at the original Via Fabricante studio in Mission Viejo, CA, in the Spring of 1980. His exuberance and love of fighting were immediately noticeable.

In the early days of the KIA, Bones was one of its best fighters, winning many karate tournaments with quick, smart hands and cat-like quickness.

Jerry was an enthusiastic instructor and fondly admired for his easy-going style and electric personality. He was a wonderful asset to the studio and helped many students develop and refine their sparring skills.

Bones was awarded his Black Belt in 1985 and went on to attain his 2nd Dan rating.
