How tall they grow … and rise again! Aidan “Smasher” Ligtvoet hit yet another KIA milestone on 22 December 2025 when he gained his 2nd Dan Brown Belt rating!
Talk about determination! This young man is on an unrelenting march to Black Belt! Ahead for him is 3rd Degree Brown and then Black Belt in which he will gain a privilege that only 65 individuals of the Kiado-Ryu exist—being on The Wall!

In this photo—brother Tristan “Raptor” Ligtvoet—KIA 5th Dan, Master—is holding the bag as Smasher unloads with devastating power, and I mean devastating! This kid could knock your head off even though he is one of the nicest young men in KIA history.
Smasher’s big brother, Tristan, has been a great success in Aiden’s achievement. These are two wonderful, humble, smart but very strong and tough men. You would definitely want them on your side in a fight!
And, of course, a final and well deserved KIA bow representing Smasher’s success. Way to go, Smasher!
