Trixie—she’s cute, loving, fun, petite and, as her name implies, a “Bringer of Joy.” Makes perfect sense. However, if you were a bad guy with bad intentions, you’d think she would be an easy target. Mistake. Huge mistake. Appearances can be deceiving. So can smiles.
Trixie is, indeed, a trickster. What is inspiring is that she’s now a Kiado-Ryu Green belt, meaning that she’s half way to achieve the coveted KIA rank of Black Belt, of which only 8 females of the 65 individuals holding that esteemed title out of the 3,300 who have achieved it in the Karate Institute of America’s 45 year history have succeeded. Thus, she could be historic!
What do you notice in this photo? If you zeroed in on her concentration you’d be right. When Trixie fights, she’s scope-locked on her opponent and never, never takes her eyes off the target, which is quite rare, frankly. She’s relentless, aggressive, ferocious and a ruthless warrior. When you’re around her be very cautious. She’s sneaky, which is, after all, how she acquired her “Trixie” nom-de-guerre.

What do you see in this photo? How about a crushing knife-edge kick to your knee? And if that doesn’t work, there’s always the whipping right hammer fist to your face. Ouch! One more thing. Do you see it? It’s her cold-hearted eyes that warn you … “Don’t even think about assaulting me. I have a dangerous catalogue of tricks to use if I need them and I will use them, so beware!”
What is really scary in her weapon’s arsenal is her roundhouse kick which she can unload at any time. It’s a thing of beauty, power, range and elevation. Trixie also has a crossover back kick that is a rib crusher—without remorse. To be forthright, this is not a young woman to mess with unless you want to end up in the hospital … or worse.

If there’s any look that says, “Back off!” it’s this one. I don’t know about you but with those eyes staring me down I’m moving on. That stare in a cross axe structure is enough of a warning for me to go fish somewhere else. This chick means business … and victory! No tricks here, just obliteration. Don’t even think twice about attacking her. Be smart. Back off or suffer the consequences!

One of Trixie’s favorite combinations is a right uppercut to the body followed by a step-thru palm strike to the face. It’s not fun to be on the receiving end even when she uses some control. Been there! Done that! Don’t want to do it again!

So here’s a great smile behind this tricky trickster. It’s real, for sure. Trixie is truly genuine, and although she has a multitude of weapons and tactics she can use in a flash to defend herself, she’s quite content with being a happy Trickster and the “Bringer of Joy!”

It’s wonderful sharing martial arts with this young woman. She is fun. She is cute for sure. More importantly, she is a loving human being and a God Centered soul. However, she is also a powerful young woman who can hold her own without question. Always remember, and never forget, that this young martial artist is, indeed, “Trixie the Trickster!”
